UN-GRAPHIC NOVELS

If you’ve been following me for any amount of time, you’ll know that I’ve written two books, Deadlock and Fallout. I have done my very best to make them feel like you are reading a comic book. I put in all the same action, drama, and comedy you would see if you were reading a comic book from the 80’s and/or 90’s. The only thing missing is the colored panels. That’s why I’ve been referring to them as Un-Graphic Novels.

If you are a reader of comics, you know that graphic novels are either a collection of monthly comics in one book or an original story that is told in one large book. I use the un-graphic novel name to let people know that what they are getting is as close to a comic they can get without pictures. You must supply them yourselves. I’ve doubled down on this idea by creating a new monthly title WRATH & BLAZE, just like a comic book. It is only a chapter, but I do my best to fill it with as much comic style action and adventure as possible. I’ve even gone so far as to create comic book covers for each chapter. I’m no illustrator, but I think what I’ve done conveys the idea of a comic book. I styled the covers to look like older Marvel Comics covers. Not exactly, but close enough that fans of that era will see them and get hit with a bit of nostalgia.

That’s really what I’m aiming for in both my books and this new monthly title. A feeling of nostalgia that people who read comics back then will recognize and enjoy while still being new enough for a younger audience. I want as many people as possible to read my stories and get taken away on a journey of escapism and adventure. Hopefully those reading my books and stories will want to continue these adventures for years to come.

I’m committed to writing these stories no matter what. I might not be a world-famous writer yet, but I’m not going to stop trying to make that dream come true. I’ll write these, and many other books, for as long as I can.
