This Year Got Away From Me

Is this really the end of 2022? It feels like it went by in record time. The start of this year saw me and my family preparing for a significant life change. We were moving from our home in Pennsylvania, a state that we were born and raised in, to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. By the middle of March, our move date was March 31, my anxiety was in overdrive.

April was our settling in month. Starting new jobs, enrolling our daughter in a new school and getting our new house to feel like home. Before I knew it, it was June.

I finally finished writing and editing my new book by the end of that month and sent it out to my beta readers. I received a lot of good feedback and tweaked it until it was done. Now it was the end of August and we were getting our daughter ready for a new school year.

We settled into a routine that carried us to November. Work and school were the dominating factors. I had started a YouTube channel to get my name and face out to the public. I used these months to put out that content. I have a small following there that hopefully will grow in the new year.

That brings me to today, Dec 27. Christmas has come and gone and 2023 is approaching with the speed of a bullet. This year was one of change and reorganizing. Most things went well. Some things got away from us. Overall it was a great year. So what is 2023 going to bring? I’ll let you know in a few days.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I have neglected this for too long. I want you to know that I appreciate everyone who has signed up and supported me. You guys are the greatest.
